June 15, 2021
We’re having our first Open House on Saturday, June 26th from 12:00-4:00pm!
You’ll be able to tour our greenhouse, speak with our botanists, and of course see incredible tropical plants. We have thousands of carnivorous plants, orchids, and aroids, with a special focus on the carnivorous genus Nepenthes.
Don’t worry – the fun doesn’t stop with the tropical greenhouse. Our surrounding property was professionally designed and hosts a variety of unusual plants. You can find Dawn Redwoods, Giant Butterburs, Contorted Mulberry, and Weeping Katsura†.
We’re proudly located in the heart of the Finger Lakes in Ithaca, New York. If you stay for the weekend, we highly recommend the Ithaca Commons, the Cornell Botanic Gardens, and Taughannock Falls State Park.
A reservation is required and attendance is limited. Be sure to book your reservation soon!
Why is there a fee? → We have limited space due to Covid precautions. The fee is in place to ensure people show up. With the reservation you’ll be able to pick out a free plant. So, it’s basically $15 for a plant!
†Respectively, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Petasites japonicus, Morus nigra ‘Unryu’, and Cercidiphyllum japonicum ‘Pendula’
