Heliamphora sarracenioides {luccky dip from mix of clones, red x self, Ptari Tepui, Venezuela} | Best Carnivorous Plants | H2168, 2169 | Representative

$ 29.99

Heliamphora sarracenioides is the missing link between Heliamphora and Sarracenia. This species has swapped out the nectar lid that is typical of the genus for a more hoodlike appendage. The appendage which tapers to a point is adorned with nectar glands and creates a truly unique look. Heliamphora sarracenioides turns a deep red under high lighting and this particular batch of plants is a mix of specimens that were both self-pollinated and crossed with an extra red form of the plant. Expect dark pitchers with uniquely tapered lids at the top of the traps. This species hybridizes well and would make an excellent addition to a breeding project of a highland collection.
