Description

The plant in the photo is the exact plant you will receive: a large, well-established net pot of a genuinely rare Utricularia with documented provenance.

This clone traces back to the late Geoff Wong, a well-known and talented horticulturalist, and passed through Jeremiah Harris, a well respected carnivorous plant grower in North America, before reaching us. We divided our stock plant in 2023, and what you see in the photo is three years of uninterrupted growth from that division.

U. quelchii is a highland specialist from the tepui summits of Venezuela and Guyana. It does best with cool nights, high humidity, and bright indirect light, and rewards patient growers with tall scapes of violet blooms that look more like miniature orchids than anything you’d expect from a bladderwort. Plants of known provenance like this one rarely come available.

Our auction guidelines can be found here.

We offer a Live Plant Guarantee and ship all of our plants potted.

Purchasing this plant supports the planet! 1% of all revenue is donated to environmental conservation in partnership with 1% for the Planet.
